Schedule Family Dental Checkups in Chicago

For many years now, the team at All Star Dental has been providing dental care for families throughout Chicago. With our five offices located throughout the city, we love seeing new and old families come through our doors! We pride ourselves on providing preventative cleanings and exams for patients of every age. Whether we are helping young kids who are just starting to get their first teeth, or working with pre-teens as they finish up the transition from their baby teeth to their adult teeth, or working with parents, it is our goal to make sure all our patients leave with brighter smiles.

As dentists, we recommend that everyone, regardless of age, see the dentist at least twice every year. Our teeth are precious, and we only have two sets (and the first set falls out pretty early on in our lives). Most dental problems go unnoticed for months or even years. Seeing your dentist every six months helps make sure that any dental issues are noticed and handled at the earliest stages. What starts as dental decay on one day can eventually turn into cavities, infected tooth roots, and eventually, adult tooth loss. That is why preventative care is so helpful.

Here at All Star Dental, our specialty is working with children. Children’s oral health is much more dynamic than adult oral health (that said, parents should never skip the dentist). There are two big reasons why we want to make sure we can work with kids throughout the years. First and foremost, their mouths go through a lot of transitions. It is important that a dentist is there to track your children’s oral health and make sure things are progressing properly. Second, kids have to develop their healthy habits. At the dental office, our team can encourage and educate. We work with kids to teach them new techniques and remind them how important it is to brush twice per day and floss at least once per day. Kid-Friendly Dental Offices in Chicago

Our offices have kids play areas so that kids can relax and have fun before their dental appointment. This is especially helpful for parents with multiple kids who will have their appointments scheduled in a single day. Having and area to play and interact with other kids is a great way to pass time while your siblings are having their exams/cleanings. Moreover, play rooms help make the dental office feel a little more like home and a bit more engaging.

For many kids, the dental office might be a place of anxiety or a little nervousness. That is often caused by the sense of unfamiliarity. Kids might want their parents to stay with them during their dental treatment as an extra layer of safety and protection. We completely understand that, which is why we allow parents to stay in the treatment rooms with their kids.

Your child’s first dental visit should start around the time they start to develop teeth. If your son or daughter is around six months old, we would be happy to help with their first dental appointment. We can provide helpful information about oral care for babies, and help make sure their oral health is progressing properly.

Preventative Care & Restorative Dentistry in Chicago

Our office provides a large variety of dental services for patients. In the preventative care group, we help with cleanings, exams, dental sealants, and dental X-rays. Each of these treatments either helps us find and address issues early or helps prevent issues in the future by protecting the teeth from bacteria and decay.

We also provide a variety of restorative dental services. If a tooth has already had issues with dental decay we can help save or replace the tooth. This includes dental crowns and dental bridges that help replace part of a tooth or the entire tooth. Likewise our team provides root canal treatments and dental fillings that can help protect your teeth from damage caused by bacteria and infection.

If you have any questions about dental services at our offices, please contact our team. We would be happy to answer your questions and provide dental services.
