Learn More About Your Dental Appointment at Our Chicago Office
Whether you are young or old, every dentist recommends regular cleanings and exams. At our office we help patients of all ages with regular dental services. Professional cleanings can help remove plaque and tartar that you might not be able to get rid of with brushing and flossing alone. Meanwhile a dental exam can help find any early warning signs of a cavity or gum disease. Plus, we provide a variety of dental services including dental sealants and x-rays to better help you and your child protect your teeth. We strive to provide a welcoming environment where kids and teens don’t have to worry about anxiety and can learn how to better take care of their oral health.
Dental decay can happen when we don’t brush and floss as often as we should. In the old days a tooth with too much decay would have to be extracted, but now we have various procedures that can remove the decay and save the tooth. These include:
- Dental Fillings: A dental filling is done whenever there is a cavity. A cavity is a small indent or hole in a tooth caused by dental erosion. Bacteria in our mouth can eat away at our teeth. A filling is needed after the decayed section of the tooth is removed and cleaned.
- Root Canal: When dental decay spreads deeper into a tooth it will eventually reach the tooth’s root. In the old days this meant you had to get the tooth extracted. But modern dental procedures and instruments allow us to go into the root, remove the decay, and fill the tooth.
We provide a variety of restorative dental procedures for our clients at our office in Chicago. They include:
- Dental Crowns: There are many different reasons you might need a dental crown. As the name suggests, a crown is a small cap placed on a tooth that acts as a synthetic chewing surface. Sometimes crowns are installed after a root canal or after other damage to the teeth. If your crown gets damaged we can help replace it as well.
- Dental Bridges: When an adult tooth falls out there are a variety of potential solutions. One of those solutions is a dental bridge. A dental bridge places a false tooth or teeth between your real teeth to both give the appearance of a full smile while also prevent teeth from shifting into the open space. We can install and replace your dental bridge.
